Where Stories Begin

Where Stories Begin

I’ve stared at this blank page for days.

Not because I didn’t know what to say,
but because I wanted to say it right.

This is the first post.
The first word of many.
The first soft step into a space I’ve carried in my heart for years but never fully unpacked—until now.

I am AJ Gabriel.
A nurse. A nomad. A noticer of life.
And I’ve always believed stories are more than just words—they’re places we go to feel seen.

Here, I’ll write what I’ve often kept quiet.
The kind of stories you don’t always find in textbooks or training manuals.
Moments in between heartbeats, memories folded in uniform pockets, letters that were never sent but always meant.

If you’ve ever cried in a hospital loo, laughed at your own loneliness, or felt like your story didn’t matter—
Please know, this space is for you.

This blog will be my living journal:

  • Behind-the-scenes of my books
  • Reflections from the wards
  • Musings on grief, growth, and the gentle art of becoming
  • Letters to the homes I’ve left behind
  • And maybe, little reminders that you’re not alone in whatever shift you’re going through

This isn’t a perfectly curated blog. It’s a breathing space.
And I’m so glad you’re here.

Let this be the start.
Of sharing.
Of healing.
Of stories that matter—even when whispered.

Welcome to AJ Gabriel Writes.
Let’s begin.
